Job Overview

Position: Operations/Project Manager

Key Objectives:

  • Oversee team leaders and the hourly workforce to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of safety and exceptional quality standards.
  • Establish, execute, and uphold quality assurance measures.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of current processes to boost the company's operational capacity.
  • Promote a lean manufacturing environment by managing SQDC KPIs.
  • Monitor staffing needs and recruit new personnel as necessary.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead, inspire, and assist a workforce of over 30 hourly employees.
  • Manage diverse manufacturing processes including welding, fabrication, painting, assembly, and logistics.
  • Oversee data collection for metrics updates aimed at achieving productivity goals, minimizing costs, reducing errors, and ensuring superior customer service.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall operational KPIs.
  • Serve as the owner of SQDC for all operational workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of demonstrated success in an operations management capacity.
  • Strong expertise in lean manufacturing principles (SQDC, leadership standard work, 6S).
  • Exceptional ability to delegate tasks while maintaining oversight of production order flow.
  • Proven track record in developing hourly teams and driving organizational change.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or 5+ years in an operations management role.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
