As a proficient Project Manager and Business Analyst with experience in Veeva, you will spearhead project management and analytical initiatives for a significant transition from Generis to Veeva RIM. Your role will encompass overseeing the project from its inception to its conclusion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget constraints, and alignment with client expectations. Furthermore, you will provide support for business technology and migration consulting projects, particularly within Regulatory Affairs. This involves gathering both business and functional requirements, facilitating workshops to outline new business processes and data structures, and promoting user engagement through training and change management strategies. You will also be responsible for documenting content and data migration transformation mapping rules, assisting in validation, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).

Core Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Governance: Establish and uphold program governance frameworks, including regular meetings, reporting systems, and decision-making protocols.
  • Leadership: Conduct client-facing meetings with technical lead support and hold regular technical team discussions to assess progress, address inquiries, and facilitate the resolution of project challenges.
  • Planning and Performance: Guide and direct various activities related to project planning and management to ensure all assigned projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to client specifications. Monitor project performance, tracking key metrics and milestones to evaluate progress and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for project stakeholders, including senior management, client project management, and external partners, providing regular updates on program status, risks, and issues. Present periodic project status updates to executive leadership as necessary.
  • Resource Management: Assign and oversee daily tasks of designated technical personnel in collaboration with the technical lead to ensure compliance with project timelines and milestones.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address risks and issues that may affect project delivery, collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to devise mitigation strategies.
  • Quality Control: Ensure adherence to quality management standards and confirm that project deliverables meet quality benchmarks and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Methodological Adherence: Follow formal project management methodologies for all projects.
  • Change Oversight: Serve as the main point of contact for managing changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, evaluating the impact on the program and implementing appropriate change control processes.

Business Analysis:

  • Process Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive process evaluations to identify opportunities for efficiency and enhancement.
  • Requirements Gathering: Analyze business and functional requirements, ensuring thorough documentation and clarity.
  • Content and Data Mapping: Develop and document source-to-target content and data mapping specifications.
  • Data Quality Assessment: Perform data quality assessments and gap analyses to support migration efforts.
  • Change Facilitation: Assist in change management and communication initiatives to foster a success-oriented environment.
  • Documentation: Prepare regular written and verbal presentations, technical documents, and reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively within a team, adapting to various roles as required by project demands.
  • Multitasking: Manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic, ambiguous environment, demonstrating resourcefulness in prioritizing tasks.
  • Migration Strategy: Contribute to the strategic components of migration plans, ensuring a clear and concise outline of the overall migration process.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in business/process analysis within information management consulting.

  • Essential: Experience with validated systems implementations and business solution deployments utilizing enterprise content services platforms. Veeva RIM experience is mandatory; Generis RIM experience is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to facilitate a Veeva Vault RIM workshop.
  • Capability to map migrated data from Generis into Veeva.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
  • Proficient decision-making and judgment skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional virtual teams.
  • Experience with Veeva Regulatory Information Management (RIM) is required; experience with Generis RIM is a considerable advantage.
  • Certifications in leading R&D technology platforms are beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites across the US and potentially internationally when necessary.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Documentum/Generis/Veeva Vault/IT and/or migration projects.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative problem-solving approach.
