As a proficient Business Analyst and Project Manager with expertise in Veeva, you will spearhead project management and analytical tasks for a significant transition from Generis to Veeva RIM. Your role will encompass overseeing the project from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with client expectations. Additionally, you will engage in business technology and migration consulting projects, particularly in the realm of Regulatory Affairs. This involves collecting business and functional requirements, facilitating workshops to establish new business processes and data frameworks, and promoting user engagement through training and change management initiatives. You will also be responsible for documenting content and data migration transformation mapping rules, supporting validation efforts, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Governance: Establish and uphold program governance structures and processes, including regular meetings, reporting mechanisms, and decision-making frameworks.
- Leadership: Conduct client-facing meetings with technical lead support and facilitate regular technical team meetings to assess progress, address inquiries, and assist in overcoming project challenges.
- Planning and Performance Management: Direct and guide various activities related to project planning and management to ensure timely, budget-compliant completion of all assigned projects. Monitor project performance, tracking key metrics and milestones to evaluate progress and identify improvement areas.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for project stakeholders, including senior management, client project management, and external partners, providing regular updates on program status, risks, and issues. Present periodic project status updates to executive leadership as required.
- Resource Management: Assign and oversee daily tasks of designated technical personnel in collaboration with the technical lead to ensure adherence to project timelines and completion of tasks aligned with established milestones.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and address risks and issues that may affect project delivery, collaborating closely with project managers and stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with ISO 9001: Quality Management standards and confirm that project deliverables meet quality benchmarks and relevant regulations.
- Methodological Adherence: Follow formal project management methodologies for all projects.
- Change Management: Serve as the main point of contact responsible for managing changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, assessing impacts on the program and implementing appropriate change control processes.
Business Analysis:
- Process Improvement: Conduct comprehensive process analyses to identify opportunities for efficiency and enhancements.
- Requirements Gathering: Analyze business and functional requirements, ensuring thorough documentation and clarity.
- Content and Data Mapping: Develop and document source-to-target content and data mapping specifications.
- Data Quality Assessment: Perform data quality reviews and gap analyses to support migration efforts.
- Change Management Support: Assist in change management and communication initiatives to cultivate a success-oriented and accountable environment.
- Documentation: Prepare regular written and verbal presentations, technical documents, and reports.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively within a team, adapting to various roles as project needs dictate.
- Multitasking: Manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic, ambiguous environment, demonstrating resourcefulness in prioritizing tasks.
- Migration Strategy: Contribute to the strategic components of migration plans, ensuring clear and concise descriptions of the overall migration process.
Qualifications:
Experience and Education:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in business/process analysis within information management consulting.
Required Skills:
- Experience with validated systems implementations and business solution deployments utilizing enterprise content services platforms. Veeva RIM experience is essential; Generis RIM experience is a significant advantage.
- Ability to facilitate Veeva Vault RIM workshops.
- Capability to map migrated data from Generis into Veeva.
- Demonstrated project management expertise.
- Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
- Proficient decision-making, judgment, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional virtual teams.
- Experience with Veeva Regulatory Information Management (RIM) is required; experience with Generis RIM is a significant plus.
- Certifications in leading R&D technology platforms are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as necessary, primarily during standard business hours.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Experience with Documentum/Generis/Veeva Vault/IT and/or migration projects.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Collaborative problem-solving approach.
- Self-motivated and directed.
