As a highly skilled Project Manager and Business Analyst with expertise in Veeva, you will spearhead project management and analytical tasks for a significant transition from Generis to Veeva RIM. Your role will encompass overseeing the project from its inception to its successful conclusion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with client expectations. You will also engage in business technology and migration consulting projects, primarily focusing on Regulatory Affairs. This includes gathering both business and functional requirements, facilitating workshops to outline new business processes and data architectures, and promoting user adoption through training and change management initiatives. Additionally, you will document content and data migration transformation mapping rules, assist in validation processes, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Governance: Establish and uphold program governance structures and processes, including regular meetings, reporting systems, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Leadership: Conduct client-facing meetings with technical lead support and facilitate regular technical team meetings to assess progress, address inquiries, and resolve project challenges.
  • Planning and Performance: Direct and guide a variety of activities related to project planning and management to ensure all assigned projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to client specifications. Monitor project performance, tracking key metrics and milestones to evaluate progress and identify improvement areas.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for project stakeholders, including senior management, client project management, and external partners, regularly communicating program status, risks, and issues. Present periodic project status updates to executive leadership as needed.
  • Resource Management: Assign and oversee daily tasks of designated technical personnel in collaboration with the technical lead to ensure adherence to project timelines and completion of tasks in line with established milestones.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address risks and issues that may affect project delivery, collaborating closely with project managers and stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with ISO 9001: Quality Management standards and confirm that project deliverables meet quality benchmarks and adhere to relevant regulations.
  • Methodological Adherence: Follow formal project management methodologies for all projects.
  • Change Management: Serve as the main point of contact for managing changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, assessing impacts on the program and implementing appropriate change control processes.

Business Analysis:

  • Process Improvement: Conduct comprehensive process analyses to identify opportunities for efficiency and enhancements.
  • Requirements Gathering: Analyze business and functional requirements, ensuring thorough documentation and clarity.
  • Data Mapping: Develop and document source-to-target content and data mapping rules within the Mapping Specification.
  • Data Quality Assessment: Perform data quality reviews and gap analyses to support migration efforts.
  • Change Facilitation: Assist in change management and communication initiatives to cultivate a success-oriented and accountable environment.
  • Documentation: Prepare regular written and verbal presentations, technical documents, and reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively within a team, adapting to various roles as project requirements dictate.
  • Multitasking: Manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, ambiguous environment, demonstrating resourcefulness in prioritizing activities.
  • Migration Strategy: Contribute to the strategic elements of migration plans, ensuring a clear and concise description of the overall migration process.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business/process analysis within information management consulting.
  • Required:
    • Experience with validated systems implementations and business solution deployments utilizing enterprise content services platforms. Veeva RIM experience is essential; Generis RIM experience is a significant advantage.
    • Capability to conduct Veeva Vault RIM workshops.
    • Ability to map migrated data from Generis into Veeva.
    • Demonstrated project management skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
    • Strong decision-making and judgment capabilities.
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional virtual teams.
    • Experience with Veeva Regulatory Information Management (RIM) is required; experience with Generis RIM is a significant plus.
    • Certifications in leading R&D technology platforms are advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Willingness to travel to client sites across the US and potentially internationally as necessary, primarily during standard business hours.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with Documentum/Generis/Veeva Vault/IT and/or migration projects.
    • Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Collaborative problem-solving approach.
    • Self-motivated and directed.
