Position Overview

The National Youth Advocate Program is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our department and enhancing our ability to serve the community effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the department by performing various administrative tasks, including office management and coordination of purchasing activities.
  • Develop and enhance administrative systems, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions, conferences, and public relations events.
  • Maintain accurate databases and ensure timely updates of program information.
  • Prepare and provide comprehensive reports on agency services and activities.
  • Train and supervise administrative staff as needed.
  • Manage documentation for agency expenses and maintain a record of financial transactions.
  • Attend meetings, taking minutes and distributing them as required.
  • Ensure the office is well-stocked with supplies and that all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Plan and promote office events, including meetings and training sessions.
  • Oversee special projects and monitor progress towards organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; some college education preferred.
  • Experience with office machinery and technology, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge and experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must possess valid car insurance.
