Position Overview

Beacon Orthopaedic Partners MSO LLC is looking for a dedicated and certified Clinical Support Specialist. This role involves providing essential assistance to healthcare professionals in various orthopedic fields, including general orthopedics, spine care, hand therapy, podiatry, and rehabilitation services.

Role Summary: Clinical Support Specialists are vital team members at Beacon, ensuring that healthcare providers can deliver high-quality patient care across multiple orthopedic disciplines. They are expected to uphold professionalism, deliver exceptional customer service, and foster teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers in maintaining an efficient schedule.
  • Support patients with tasks such as mobility, dressing, and preparation for examinations.
  • Gather patient medical histories, conduct preliminary screenings, and assist during medical procedures.
  • Organize patient documentation and provide necessary instructions.
  • Oversee medical records and ensure the accuracy of electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Manage medical supplies, sanitize examination areas, and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage in patient care meetings and contribute to enhancing clinic operations.
  • And additional responsibilities as required.

Physical and Emotional Requirements:

  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work in clinical environments.
  • Capability to assist patients physically, perform manual tasks, and navigate computer systems.
  • Commitment to ethical practices and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exhibit empathy and strong communication with patients and team members.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, organizational skills, and proficiency in computer systems.
  • Understanding of clinic protocols and procedures.

Educational Background: An Associate's Degree or Technical Certificate in Medical Assisting is preferred, along with relevant certification. A minimum of one year of experience in a customer service-oriented role is required.
