About the Role

Ryder System is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic sales team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new customer business within your assigned sales territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop pre-sales strategy for target accounts and create a sales activity pipeline to meet and exceed required quota revenues.
  • Represent the full spectrum of Ryder's services to new and potential customers, working with Account Representatives and Customer Development Managers to transition accounts and increase sales opportunities.
  • Identify prospect needs and value components through quality needs assessment and value-based proposal preparation.
  • Develop account selling strategies to improve effectiveness and contribute to an effective transition of accounts sold.
  • Report sales activity to management and perform administrative functions necessary to support account.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Finance and Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) years or more demonstrated consecutive sales excellence (quota achievement) in prior sales responsibilities.
  • Good understanding of Ryder's product offerings and ability to interpret financial data.
