SUMMARY:
The Event Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing catered functions. This encompasses the planning, arrangement, execution, and dismantling of all events. The Supervisor maintains communication with the event host throughout the occasion to guarantee optimal guest satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct monthly departmental staff meetings.
2. Clearly communicate performance expectations and provide team members with continuous feedback.
3. Offer orientation and training to associates to ensure they understand expectations and can perform their roles effectively.
4. Review, modify, and approve staff schedules based on the requirements of each event; relay function details to team members.
5. Develop and implement strategies that foster associate engagement.
6. Manage the recruitment process to select qualified candidates.
7. Interview and recommend hiring for event service staff.
8. Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff to review assignments and service protocols for each event.
9. Welcome the host for assigned events and maintain communication throughout the duration.
10. Coordinate and convey event specifics both verbally and in writing to the service team. Prepare reports detailing the function and feedback from the host.
11. Verify Banquet Event Orders (BEO) for accuracy and address any concerns with the appropriate personnel.
12. Uphold the highest standards of customer service for all Gale Hotel guests.
13. Utilize sound judgment to make decisions that ensure guest satisfaction while adhering to fiscal constraints.
14. Operate the cash register or point of sale system as required. Finalize Banquet Checks and ensure accuracy. Report any discrepancies between systems.
15. Address team member concerns promptly, taking necessary actions in compliance with company guidelines.
16. Engage with guests during the event to address their requests and needs.
17. Collaborate closely with the audio-visual team on the setup of equipment and other requirements.
18. Train and oversee new personnel in the Event Operations department.
19. Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of event and catering concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strong supervisory and communication skills.
- Well-organized with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to build strong professional relationships with vendors, guests, and staff.
- Effective communication skills to establish and maintain working relationships with team members.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a high-quality, high-volume catering and convention environment.
- Two years of supervisory experience preferred.

EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
