About the Role:
This role involves overseeing the daily functions of multiple laboratory sites in Southern Florida. You will be integral to our mission of enhancing health and improving lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of several satellite laboratories.
  • Ensure accurate execution of laboratory tests and timely reporting of results.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory staff.
  • Oversee daily workflow and ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.
  • Investigate and resolve production discrepancies while escalating issues as needed.
  • Promote continuous improvement in processes and service levels.
  • Maintain equipment through rigorous Quality Control measures.
  • Prepare and uphold Quality Assurance documentation.
  • Evaluate and recommend new process enhancements.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to provide coaching and feedback.
  • Perform technical operations as necessary, maintaining proficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Administer departmental policies and procedures.
  • Handle payroll and personnel documentation.
  • Execute administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related scientific field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical setting.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential; 1-2 years preferred.
  • Must possess Florida state licensure.
  • ASCP and/or AMT certifications are mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of laboratory operations and protocols.
  • Proficient in Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities.
  • Able to make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of the role.
