Job Overview

The Property Community Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the assigned residential community, working closely with the Regional Director and EHDOC.

This position encompasses a variety of management responsibilities, including but not limited to administrative tasks, financial oversight, reporting, procurement, personnel management, maintenance operations, resident engagement, social programming, and ensuring the overall physical and financial health of the community.


The Property Community Coordinator is tasked with executing all duties assigned by the Regional Director and EHDOC, as necessary to fulfill the organization's objectives and asset management requirements.

Key Responsibilities

While prior property management experience is valuable, training will be provided for those lacking specific experience with LIHTC and HUD regulations.


  • Select eligible residents in accordance with housing program guidelines, ensuring compliance with the Tenant Selection Plan and the goals of the Owner, HUD, Lender, Investor, and EHDOC.
  • Achieve and maintain occupancy targets by ensuring a minimum of five pre-approved qualified applicants are documented and meet all relevant guidelines.
  • Organize and secure all resident documentation and financial transactions related to leasing, in accordance with HUD and LIHTC regulations, as well as EHDOC Policies and Procedures.
  • Assign administrative and maintenance staff duties to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director and Maintenance Supervisor to develop and manage preventative and routine maintenance programs.
  • Implement an emergency evacuation plan in partnership with local emergency management personnel.
  • Prepare and submit all required reports accurately and on time, including financial and occupancy reports.
  • Conduct annual inspections of all units to ensure they meet safety and sanitary standards.
  • Maintain compliance with state, local, and federal laws related to property management and resident needs.
  • Engage with the Tenant Association/Resident Council to promote community spirit and address resident needs.


Education and Experience Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree in management, business, or a related field is preferred; however, a minimum of five years of community management experience may substitute for formal education.

Certifications such as Certified Occupancy Specialist or Certified Manager of Housing are advantageous but not mandatory.


The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of financial management, and the ability to foster a cohesive team environment. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel and document processing, is essential.
