JOB TITLE:
Front Desk Representative

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Welcoming patients in a friendly manner

Executing patient check-in processes

Updating and maintaining accurate demographic and insurance details in the system and patient files

Carrying out office opening tasks, managing petty cash, collecting co-pays and co-insurance, and providing assistance to patients as required

Focusing primarily on patient service in the reception area while providing support for phone inquiries and other front office staff

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma with 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting

Familiarity with clinic protocols and procedures

Proficiency in computer systems and software

Understanding of medical terminology

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Demonstrated compassion and kindness towards patients both in person and over the phone

Maintaining a professional demeanor and positive attitude

Strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent customer service abilities

Capability to collaborate effectively with medical personnel, management, insurance authorizations, external organizations, and patients

Position requires both sitting and standing typical of a standard office environment

Fast-paced office atmosphere with significant patient interaction
