Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Patient Service Coordinator to support our diagnostic imaging team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule diagnostic tests in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Insurance and Referrals: Obtain and enter all insurance authorization and correspondence relating to referrals in patients' charts and/or electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Financial Management: Collect co-pays, deductible, and other out-of-pocket amounts at the time of visit, and arrange for patients to have financial counseling as needed.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Demonstrate an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/practice, and follow policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office.
  • Patient Communication: Communicate with patients about surgeries or tests being scheduled, and potential prep work needed, inquiring about test specifics from necessary parties and gathering patient information as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of office experience, with medical office experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
