JOB TITLE:
Front Desk Representative
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Welcoming patients with a friendly demeanor
Executing patient check-in processes efficiently
Updating and maintaining accurate demographic and insurance details in the system and patient files
Carrying out office opening tasks, managing petty cash, collecting co-pays and co-insurance, and providing assistance to patients as required
Focusing primarily on patient service in the reception area while providing support for phone inquiries and other front office staff as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma with 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
Familiarity with clinic policies and operational procedures
Proficiency in computer systems and software applications
Understanding of medical terminology
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrated compassion and kindness towards patients both in person and over the phone
Maintaining a professional and positive attitude at all times
Strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent customer service abilities
Capability to collaborate effectively with medical personnel, management, insurance authorizations, external agencies, and patients
Physical requirements include sitting and standing typical of an office environment
Engaging in a busy office atmosphere with significant patient interaction
