The Patient Care Coordinator is a vital member of our front office team at OnPoint Medical Group. This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, either in person or over the phone.
- Complete pre-visit planning, including verifying patient information and updating records.
- Register new patients and verify existing patient information.
- Collect co-pays and payments as needed.
- Answer inbound calls to schedule patients and serve as a liaison to clinical staff for patient inquiries.
- Perform administrative duties to ensure patient visits run smoothly and billing is processed in a timely manner.
- Make outbound calls to schedule appointments.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Attend to punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong computer skills and experience with EMR systems preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
