Job Description

Job Summary:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth and operational efficiency of Human Capital Advisors. This senior leadership position requires a seasoned executive with a proven track record of developing and executing business plans, managing day-to-day operations, and overseeing financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the firm's strategic plan, collaborating with senior leadership to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring smooth management of legal, administrative, and support staff.
  • Financial Management: Work with the finance team to prepare budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Human Resources Management: Oversee recruitment, retention, and professional development of both legal and non-legal staff.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ensure the firm delivers high-quality client services, maintaining strong client relationships and satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the firm's operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Facilities and Technology Management: Oversee the management of office facilities, including maintenance, security, and space planning.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports to senior leadership on operational performance, financial status, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 10 years proven experience in senior leadership role or other extensive managerial position
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans
  • Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the Firm
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
  • Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Executive decision-making skills
  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset
  • Exceptional business acumen
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional attitude with a strong sense of discretion
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Travel required as needed

Education:

A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for degrees in business administration, management, finance, or a related field. An MBA or JD is preferred. Professional certifications such as Certified Legal Manager (CLM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are optional.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $170,000.00 - $207,000.00 per year
