Key Responsibilities

  • Delivers exceptional service to each guest by fostering a welcoming atmosphere, which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, upholding high standards, and demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge.
  • Empowered to ensure complete guest satisfaction, showcasing hospitality and professionalism consistently, while taking pride in representing Renaissance by Marriott Orlando Airport in a courteous manner.
  • Understands and implements all safety and security protocols to maintain a secure environment for both associates and guests. In case of emergencies, ensures immediate medical assistance is sought and notifies management.
  • Fosters positive relationships with all associates to cultivate a collaborative working environment.
Essential Duties
  • Guarantees guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness in meeting areas and addressing guests' needs promptly.
  • Maintains high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the shift.
  • Interprets Banquet Event Orders accurately and assists in event setups as a lead server or co-captain when required.
  • Sets tables in designated areas with precision, utilizing clean, pressed linens, polished silverware, and unblemished glassware. Ensures condiments are clean and adequately filled.
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of the menu for each event, including major ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Keeps the service station organized and clean during events, proactively attending to guests' needs.
  • Assists lead servers in dismantling tables and food service setups as needed.
  • Handles coffee breaks, receptions, and other functions as assigned, adhering to established procedures.
  • Completes assigned side tasks, such as replenishing condiments and organizing linens.
  • Supports managers and lead servers in event setups while enforcing all policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to Company Standards of Service as outlined for Renaissance by Marriott.
  • Projects a positive image of the company to the public consistently.
  • Performs all duties efficiently and in accordance with company policies to meet the objectives of the role.
  • Treats guests, vendors, and co-workers with respect and professionalism.
  • Completes required training in departmental, company, and brand standards.
  • Maintains a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  • Must be flexible with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Complies with all relevant regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.

Qualifications

Experience/Education
High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.

Certificates & Licenses
Valid State Driver's License if driving is part of the job; additional certifications as required by company standards.

Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates, both verbally and in writing. Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions.

Work Environment
The work environment is typically climate-controlled, but associates may be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions as needed.

Physical Demands
