Key Responsibilities

  • Delivers exceptional service to each guest by creating a welcoming atmosphere, which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining high standards, and possessing thorough product knowledge.
  • Empowered to ensure complete guest satisfaction, demonstrating hospitality and professionalism at all times, while representing Renaissance by Marriott Orlando Airport with pride and ensuring all interactions are conducted ethically.
  • Familiar with and applies all safety and security protocols to uphold a secure environment for both staff and guests. In case of emergencies, provides necessary assistance and promptly informs management.
  • Fosters positive relationships with all team members to promote a collaborative work environment.
Essential Functions
  • Guarantees guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness in meeting areas and addressing guests' needs promptly.
  • Maintains high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout each shift.
  • Interprets Banquet Event Orders to execute setups efficiently and assists in banquet functions as required.
  • Sets tables accurately and uniformly, ensuring all linens, silverware, china, and glassware are pristine and presentable.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the menu for each event, able to describe key ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Keeps service stations tidy and organized, regularly checking on guests and replenishing items as needed.
  • Assists in the breakdown of tables and food service areas after events, adhering to established procedures.
  • Completes assigned side tasks, such as restocking condiments and maintaining serving equipment.
  • Supports management and lead servers in event setups while upholding all company policies.
  • Exhibits professionalism and respect towards guests, vendors, and colleagues at all times.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Adheres to company service standards as outlined for Renaissance by Marriott.
  • Projects a positive image of the hotel to the public consistently.
  • Performs all duties efficiently in line with company policies to meet the objectives of the role.
  • Maintains a neat and professional appearance at all times.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Complies with all applicable liquor regulations to ensure responsible service.
Qualifications

Experience/Education
High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.

Certificates & Licenses
Valid State Driver's License may be required for specific duties.

Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members, along with basic math skills for service tasks.

Work Environment
This position typically operates in a climate-controlled setting, though outdoor work may be necessary under varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands
Must be able to stand, walk, and lift items up to 40 pounds regularly, while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
