Position: Event Coordinator

Role Summary:

  • The Event Coordinator will ensure exceptional guest service, upholding Memoir's quality standards.
  • This role involves assisting the Event Manager with all facets of event operations.
  • The Event Coordinator will conduct training sessions for new hires and temporary staff.
  • Continuous monitoring of the event will be required to oversee staff and activities.
  • Promoting a safe environment is crucial, including monitoring guests for any disruptive behavior and reporting concerns to management.
  • Providing accurate information to guests is essential, along with assisting them in navigating the event space.
  • Implementing emergency protocols as necessary is part of the responsibilities.
  • Nightly reports detailing event operations and any encountered issues will be submitted to the Event Manager.
  • Maintenance requests for identified issues will be the responsibility of the Event Coordinator.
  • Participation in weather-related discussions during scheduled shifts is expected.
  • The Event Coordinator will report directly to the Event Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged standing and walking.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. (reasonable accommodations may be made for differently-abled individuals).
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a customer-facing role is required.
  • Punctuality and flexibility to work assigned shifts are essential.
  • Reliable communication and transportation methods are necessary.
  • Staff must provide their own attire, with recommendations for black pants and shirts, and closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and execute event operations effectively.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possesses customer service experience with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with mobile ticketing platforms is advantageous.
  • Enjoys guest interaction while also contributing behind the scenes.
  • Has experience in leading and motivating team members.
  • Demonstrates reliability and expertise in customer service de-escalation.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Competent in assisting with staff management, on-site HR, and scheduling.
  • Proficient in writing reports and completing necessary documentation.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor and positive attitude.

This position is seasonal, and specific hours will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation: Starting at $22.50/hr, with an expectation of approximately 25 hours of work each week during the event. Payments will be issued weekly.
