Essential Functions
  • Guarantees guest satisfaction by ensuring cleanliness of meeting areas and addressing guests' needs promptly.
  • Maintains high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the shift.
  • Reads and comprehends Banquet Event Orders to effectively execute setup. Expected to assist in banquet functions as a lead server or co-captain when necessary.
  • Sets tables accurately and uniformly, utilizing clean, pressed linens, polished silverware, intact china, and spotless glassware. Ensures condiments are clean and properly filled.
  • Possesses knowledge of the menu for each event and can articulate key ingredients and preparation methods for each dish served.
  • Keeps the service station organized and clean during service, routinely checking on guests and replenishing items as needed.
  • Assists in the breakdown of tables and buffet setups, ensuring all procedures are followed.
  • Handles assigned side work, such as restocking condiments, organizing linens, and cleaning serving equipment.
  • Supports managers and lead servers in event setups while adhering to all policies and procedures, extending courtesy to all.
  • Adheres to Company Standards of Service as outlined for Renaissance by Marriott.
  • Projects a positive image of the hotel to the public consistently.
  • Completes all duties efficiently and in accordance with established company policies to meet the objectives of the role.
  • Treats guests, vendors, and colleagues with respect and professionalism at all times.
  • Participates in required training sessions to meet departmental and brand standards.
  • Maintains a neat and professional appearance consistently.
  • Must be flexible with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Complies with all local and federal regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
