Essential Functions

  • Guarantees guest satisfaction by ensuring cleanliness of meeting spaces and addressing guest needs promptly.
  • Maintains high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the shift.
  • Interprets Banquet Event Orders accurately and assists in event setups as needed.
  • Sets tables correctly and uniformly with clean linens, silverware, china, and glassware, ensuring all condiments are properly stocked.
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests effectively.
  • Keeps service stations organized and clean, regularly checking on guests and replenishing items as required.
  • Assists in the breakdown of tables and service areas after events, ensuring all equipment is handled according to standards.
  • Completes assigned side tasks, such as restocking condiments and organizing linens, to support overall operations.
  • Collaborates with management and lead servers to ensure smooth event execution and adherence to policies.
  • Exhibits professionalism and respect towards guests, vendors, and colleagues at all times.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Adheres to company service standards and projects a positive image of Renaissance by Marriott Orlando Airport.
  • Completes all assigned training in a timely manner to maintain compliance with company policies.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and is flexible with work hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Complies with all local and state regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties as necessary.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Valid state driver's license may be required for certain roles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Basic math skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Work Environment

This position typically operates in a climate-controlled environment, with occasional outdoor work required based on event needs.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, walk, and lift items up to 40 pounds regularly, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
