Youth Support Specialist

Position Summary:
Are you the Youth Support Specialist we are seeking? In this role, you will have the opportunity to express your dedication to assisting others as part of a vibrant team, bringing a positive and energetic attitude while engaging with our youth.
The GRIP Program operates as a Group Home treatment facility for adolescents, focusing on trauma-informed care. We provide comprehensive 24-hour support, which includes a full clinical team, nursing professionals, and direct care staff.
Work Schedule: Full-time, 32 hours, with shifts available from Sunday to Wednesday and Wednesday to Saturday.
Compensation: $21 per hour.
Due to the nature of our responsibilities and the youth relying on our support, there may be instances where overtime is required.
Training and Development:
- YOU will enhance your abilities in creating engaging daily activities for our youth, including arts and crafts, recreational outings, and more.
- YOU will foster a safe and therapeutic environment by assisting youth in their development and modeling effective coping strategies.
- YOU will empower youth to recognize their strengths and worth by collaborating with them to build essential life skills such as cooking, financial management, vocational training, and more. Your daily contributions will help youth cultivate a sense of identity and equip them with the skills necessary for future success.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a valid driver's license, as transportation of youth is a requirement.
- Availability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- At JRI, you will learn to implement physical interventions and verbal de-escalation techniques to ensure a safe therapeutic environment for our youth.
- Background checks and driving record evaluations will be conducted.
