Job Summary

The Executive Vice Chancellor for Human Resources will serve as a strategic partner to the Chancellor and the Board of Trustees, providing leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of human resources policies, procedures, and programs. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the District's human resources functions are aligned with its mission, vision, and values, and that they support the achievement of its strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement human resources policies, procedures, and programs that support the District's mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the areas of talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives that support the District's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of training programs and other initiatives that support employee development and engagement.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on human resources-related issues, including recruitment, selection, and employee relations.
  • Develop and manage the District's budget for human resources-related activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to human resources.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as human resources, business administration, or education.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior-level human resources role, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing human resources policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex laws, regulations, and policies.
