Compensation is set at $42.56 per hour.

Overview of Responsibilities:

The incumbent will utilize a variety of tools, testing devices, and equipment to install, inspect, repair, maintain, adjust, and troubleshoot diverse electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts various electrical trade activities, including the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for generating, distributing, or utilizing electrical energy.
  • Installs or repairs a range of electrical apparatus such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, and other transmission devices.
  • Interprets blueprints, schematics, layouts, or other specifications.
  • Identifies and diagnoses issues within electrical systems or equipment.
  • Performs calculations related to load requirements for wiring or electrical apparatus.
  • Employs a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring/testing instruments.
  • Possesses rounded training and experience typically gained through formal apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  • Troubleshoots and assesses electrical systems.
  • Completes additional related tasks as assigned.
  • May engage in work across other classifications when incidental tasks are necessary for project completion, with potential wage adjustments.
Accountability:
  • Ensures proper utilization of tools and equipment commonly used in the Electrical Maintenance sector.
  • Completes all required training as mandated by government and management directives.
  • Delivers timely and cost-effective performance of responsibilities.
  • Ensures the timely completion and accuracy of all departmental tasks.
  • Interacts with a diverse range of individuals in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Adheres to established safety protocols and good industrial practices.
  • Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform well under pressure.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in electrical maintenance.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, bending conduits, troubleshooting, repairing motors and controls, and installing and repairing AC and DC equipment.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of switches, transformers, and transformer connections.
  • Ability to work on electrical equipment at various heights.
  • Must obtain and maintain necessary explosives certifications when assigned to ordnance operations.
  • Possesses and maintains hand tools essential for performing standard work duties.
  • Capable of troubleshooting equipment effectively.
  • Meets and maintains company physical and security requirements, including respirator qualifications and clearance eligibility when necessary.
  • Exhibits strong communication skills suitable for a service team environment.
  • Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass any required background checks and/or drug testing.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Candidates must provide documentation proving immunity to tetanus, measles, rubella, and mumps prior to employment, along with evidence of a recent TB test.

Compensation – $42.56 per hour.
