Compensation is $42.56 per hour

Overview of Responsibilities:

The incumbent will utilize various tools, testing instruments, and equipment to install, inspect, repair, maintain, adjust, and troubleshoot a range of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute a variety of electrical trade tasks, including the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electrical energy.
  • Install or repair diverse electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission apparatus.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
  • Identify and diagnose issues within electrical systems or equipment.
  • Perform standard calculations related to load requirements for wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Utilize a variety of electrician's hand tools along with measuring and testing instruments.
  • Possess rounded training and experience typically gained through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  • Troubleshoot and assess electrical systems.
  • Carry out additional related duties as assigned.
  • May engage in work across different classifications when incidental tasks are necessary for completing assignments. Significant work in another classification may require corresponding wage adjustments.
Accountability:
  • Proper utilization of tools and equipment commonly used in the Electrical Maintenance sector.
  • Completion of all mandated training requirements as per government and management directives.
  • Timely and cost-effective execution of responsibilities.
  • Accurate and timely completion of all departmental tasks.
  • Engagement with a diverse range of individuals in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Adherence to established safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.
  • Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in electrical maintenance.
  • Capability to read blueprints, bend conduits, troubleshoot, repair motors and controls, and install and repair AC and DC equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of switches, transformers, and transformer connections.
  • Ability to work on electrical equipment at various heights.
  • Must obtain and maintain required certifications when assigned to specific operations.
  • Possession of hand tools necessary for the trade.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment effectively.
  • Meet and maintain company physical and security requirements, including respirator qualification and clearance eligibility when necessary.
  • Strong communication skills suitable for a service team environment.
  • Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass any required background checks and/or drug testing.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Candidates must provide proof of immunity to certain diseases and evidence of a recent TB test prior to employment.

Compensation – $42.56 per hour
