POSITION SUMMARY

Assist in the preparation of food items by performing tasks such as portioning, chopping, and organizing ingredients. Clean and peel fresh produce, ensuring high standards of hygiene. Accurately weigh, measure, and combine ingredients as per established recipes and quality benchmarks. Prepare cold dishes and operate various kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Assess food for doneness and quality during the cooking process. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all food is served in appropriate portions and containers. Regularly sanitize kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment. Verify the correct temperature of food and appliances.

Adhere to all organizational and safety protocols; report any maintenance issues, accidents, or unsafe conditions to management; complete necessary safety training and certifications. Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality regarding proprietary information. Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues. Foster positive working relationships and collaborate with team members to achieve shared objectives; listen and respond to the concerns of fellow employees. Ensure compliance with quality standards and expectations. Be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Undertake additional reasonable duties as assigned by Supervisors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role.

Supervisory Experience: Not required.

License or Certification: None required.

The pay range for this position is $23.14 to $28.93 per hour.
