POSITION SUMMARY
Assist in the preparation of food items by performing tasks such as portioning, chopping, and organizing ingredients. Clean and peel fresh produce, ensuring high standards of hygiene. Accurately weigh, measure, and combine ingredients while adhering to recipes and quality benchmarks. Prepare cold dishes and operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Conduct taste tests to confirm proper cooking levels and monitor food quality throughout the preparation process. Set up and dismantle workstations efficiently. Serve food in appropriate portions and ensure cleanliness by washing and sanitizing kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment.
Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and security; report maintenance issues, accidents, and unsafe conditions to management; complete required safety training and certifications. Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of sensitive information. Communicate effectively with team members and foster positive working relationships to achieve collective goals. Ensure compliance with quality standards and expectations. Be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
Supervisory Experience: Not required.
License or Certification: None
The pay range for this position is $23.14 to $28.93 per hour.
