National Accounts Territory Manager

Sentry is on the lookout for a driven and experienced professional to take on the pivotal role of Territory Manager within our National Accounts Division. In this capacity, you will engage with brokers and agents across a designated region to enhance Sentry's visibility and market presence. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate new business opportunities and collaborate with the team to develop and present innovative business proposals. As the leader in the sales of loss-sensitive casualty insurance to National Account clients with substantial premiums, your expertise will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities
The Territory Manager will oversee all broker and client interactions within the designated territory. Ideally, candidates should reside within the territory and be prepared for regular travel to meet with brokers, clients, and potential customers. In your leadership role, you will partner closely with our Underwriting team to secure and maintain large commercial accounts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and soliciting accounts through selected brokers or responding to inquiries from potential clients.
- Collaborating with Underwriting, Loss Control, and Claims departments to assess risk acceptability and required services.
- Acting as the primary liaison for assigned accounts and their brokers.
- Working with relevant functional teams to deliver exceptional service to your accounts.
- Preparing and presenting proposals to brokers and prospective clients, highlighting Sentry's unique advantages and differentiators.
- Engaging daily with Microsoft Dynamics CRM to manage client interactions.
Qualifications
To qualify for this prestigious opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor's degree coupled with relevant experience in National Accounts Casualty business. Familiarity with Sales and Underwriting of large Risk Management accounts is preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience with an insurance carrier, commercial agency, or brokerage is advantageous.
- Prior technical insurance experience, particularly in sales and/or underwriting.
- A highly motivated self-starter with a strong desire to excel.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and sales skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently (5-7 nights per month) and possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle report.
- Must maintain primary residence within the sales territory.
