Job Title: Lead Account Manager

The Lead Account Manager plays a crucial role as the main sales and account management representative for assigned accounts, demonstrating leadership by effectively communicating business objectives, programs, and processes for the CMS business segment. This individual will leverage their expertise to solve problems, set and achieve objectives, and contribute to both short-term and long-term business success.

*Position based in the Kansas City, MO market*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact at assigned customer site(s), with a focus on promoting and maintaining customer accounts through the sale of water processing solutions and products.
  • Listen actively to customers' needs and provide expert technical support to address inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Drive growth by developing and presenting customer value propositions that highlight our competitive advantages and diverse product range.
  • Collaborate with the team and support functions to deliver optimal customer support.
  • Serve as a knowledge base for customers utilizing our technology to address water treatment requirements.
  • Engage in cross-functional partnerships to enhance our solutions offering.
  • Develop a strategic plan to meet or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and account retention metrics.
  • Stay informed and adhere to all safety and environmental standards.
  • Utilize and maintain a company-assigned fleet vehicle in accordance with company guidelines to fulfill job responsibilities.

Qualifications

Core Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), Biology, Chemistry, or a related field from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a product or customer support role in the Water Treatment/Water Process industry).
  • Possess at least 5 years of experience in technical sales within the water process/treatment sector or a relevant industry.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be willing and able to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
  • Reside within the designated region or meet customer proximity criteria when necessary.
  • Be comfortable working in a heavy industrial setting that may involve the use of Personal Safety Equipment and exposure to typical industrial elements like noise, dust, and chemicals.
  • Comply with strict drug testing and background check protocols as per customer safety regulations.
  • Possess basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software in a Windows environment.
  • If the role involves operating a company vehicle for business purposes, you must have a valid driver's license and be open to a driving record check.

Other Useful Skills and Abilities:

  • Additional experience in technical sales within the Water Treatment/Water Process industry.
  • Familiarity with HPI and/or CPI Process industries.
  • Effective management of time and budget constraints.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A track record of successful sales.
  • Great interpersonal and leadership qualities.
  • Proficiency in presentations and public speaking.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
