Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Credit Manager to join our dynamic team at Jobot. As a key player in managing and safeguarding our company's receivables, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our accounts receivable portfolio, resolving discrepancies and past due accounts, and contributing to the overall financial health of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the entire accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, customer service, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review aging reports regularly to identify delinquent accounts and take appropriate action to resolve past due accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable records and reports.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Use financial software to perform daily tasks and generate financial reports.
  • Assist in developing and implementing credit policies and procedures.
  • Participate in regular audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounts receivable data.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices for managing accounts receivable and credit control processes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and credit management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in managing aging reports and resolving past due accounts.
  • Proficiency in using financial software.
  • A strong understanding of the consumer goods market.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detecting discrepancies in financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams across the company.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Credit Management or a related field will be an added advantage.
