HSBC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Credit Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our credit risk management team, you will be responsible for managing credit risk and providing decisioning for credit exposure arising from new and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Credit Risk: Participate with lenders and management of various debt teams to ensure responsiveness, meet portfolio exposure targets, minimize credit costs, and maintain and acquire profitable and prudent credit exposures.
- Credit Analysis: Conduct credit analysis and evaluation of clients' business models, financial performance, management, industry research, and forecast business plans.
- Approve Credit Limits: Review, recommend, and approve individual credit limits within assigned authority for large and complex loans involving the Company's and Group's customer base, ensuring adherence to all applicable credit approval policy and procedures.
- Portfolio Management: Ensure ongoing credit quality through portfolio management tasks, including timely risk ratings and remediation actions, where applicable.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with Bank Credit Policy and risk appetite guidelines as well as adherence to all Regulatory requirements and controls.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years proven, progressive, and broad-based experience in credit, lending, and/or workout areas or equivalent with focus on cash flow and asset-backed borrowers.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of businesses supported, their credit products, and pertinent US regulations affecting the extension of credit to them.
- Credit Risk Evaluation: Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, and discuss credit risk in new, unusual, or complex proposal structures.
- Skills: Strong analytical, planning, mathematical, problem-solving, communication, financial, technical, interpersonal, and diplomatic skills.
- Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Credit Training: Credit training or equivalent experience.
