Position Overview:
Allina Health is dedicated to providing comprehensive Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Services, encompassing a full spectrum of care including integration, specialized outpatient clinics, addiction treatment, co-occurring services, partial hospitalization, day treatment, emergency, and inpatient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver care for individuals facing intricate mental health and addiction challenges.
- Foster a collaborative, evidence-based approach to enhance patients' mental health and emotional wellness.
- Engage with various care teams, collaborating with medical units, intermediate care, and clinics.
- Participate in weekday shifts with occasional weekend and holiday on-call duties.
- Supervise Advanced Practice Providers as needed.
Job Duties:
- Consult with healthcare providers to support the ongoing management of patients' substance use and behavioral health requirements.
- Create behaviorally focused, outcome-oriented treatment plans addressing mental health, functional impairments, and co-occurring addictive or medical disorders.
- Lead educational initiatives for staff on psychiatric topics.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health and addiction practice.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner - ANCC certification within specialty required upon hire.
- ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 days.
- Drug Enforcement Administration registration required upon hire.
Physical Requirements:
Medium Work: Lifting up to 32 lbs. occasionally (per Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
