Position Overview:

Allina Health offers a comprehensive Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line that encompasses a full spectrum of care, including integration, specialized outpatient clinics, addiction services, co-occurring treatment, partial hospitalization, day treatment, emergency services, and inpatient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care to individuals facing intricate mental health and addiction challenges.
  • Promote a thorough, evidence-driven, collaborative approach to enhance patients' mental health and emotional wellness.
  • Collaborate closely with various care teams, including those in medical units, intermediate care, and outpatient clinics.
  • Participate in weekday shifts with occasional weekend and holiday on-call duties.
  • May oversee Advanced Practice Providers (APP).

Job Duties:

  • Consult with healthcare providers to support the ongoing management of patients' substance use and behavioral health requirements.
  • Create behaviorally focused, outcome-oriented treatment plans that address mental health issues, functional impairments, and co-occurring addictive or medical conditions.
  • Lead educational initiatives for staff regarding psychiatric matters.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree - Completion of an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health and addiction care.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire.
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification in specialty required upon hire.
  • ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 days.
  • Drug Enforcement Administration registration required upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

Medium Work: Lifting weights up to 32 lbs. occasionally (following Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
