Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver psychiatric services to individuals facing intricate mental health and addiction challenges.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient mental health and emotional wellness.
- Engage with various care teams, including those in medical units and outpatient clinics.
- Participate in weekday shifts with occasional weekend and holiday on-call duties.
- Provide supervision and guidance to advanced practice providers as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
- Consult with healthcare providers to manage the ongoing substance use and behavioral health needs of patients.
- Create treatment plans that are behaviorally focused and outcomes-oriented, addressing mental health and co-occurring disorders.
- Lead educational initiatives for staff regarding psychiatric topics.
Qualifications:
- MD, DO, or equivalent foreign training required
- Board eligible/certified with ABMS or AOA
- Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota (or ability to obtain)
- Capability to secure and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Meet criteria for credentialing and hospital privileges as applicable
- Completion of an addiction fellowship or ASAM certification is strongly preferred
Physical Requirements:
Light Work:
Lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally, and up to 10 lbs. frequently.
