Inpatient Addiction Psychiatrist

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Addiction Psychiatrist to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line, you will provide comprehensive care to individuals experiencing complex mental health and addiction needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric services to patients in our inpatient addiction treatment program, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address mental health, functional impairment, and co-occurring addictive or medical disorders.
- Consult with primary care providers to assist with ongoing management of substance use and behavioral health needs of their patients.
- Develop and lead staff education in psychiatric issues to enhance the skills and knowledge of our team members.
Requirements:
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified with ABMS or AOA required.
- Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable.
- Completion of addiction fellowship or ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) certification strongly preferred.
