Allina Health is dedicated to providing comprehensive Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Services, ensuring a full spectrum of care that encompasses integration, specialized outpatient clinics, addiction treatment, co-occurring services, partial hospitalization, day treatment, emergency interventions, and inpatient support.
Key Responsibilities:
As an inpatient addiction Nurse Practitioner in a licensed Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), your role will include:
- Delivering care to individuals facing intricate mental health and addiction challenges.
- Facilitating a collaborative, evidence-based approach to enhance our patients' mental health and emotional stability.
- Engaging with various care teams, coordinating efforts across medical units, intermediate care, and outpatient clinics.
- Participating in weekday shifts with occasional weekend and holiday on-call duties.
- Potentially overseeing Advanced Practice Providers (APP).
Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage the ongoing substance use and behavioral health requirements of patients.
- Create behaviorally oriented, outcome-driven treatment plans that address mental health issues, functional limitations, and co-occurring addictive or medical conditions.
- Lead educational initiatives for staff on psychiatric matters.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree - Completion of an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health and addiction care.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty required upon hire.
- ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days.
- Drug Enforcement Administration registration required upon hire.

Medium Work*:
Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently.
