Position Overview:

Allina Health is committed to providing comprehensive Mental Health and Addiction Services, ensuring a full spectrum of care that includes integration, specialized outpatient clinics, addiction treatment, partial hospitalization, day treatment, and inpatient services. This initiative is supported by a collaborative leadership structure comprising both psychiatry and psychology professionals, working in conjunction with operational teams to enhance mental health care delivery across the Allina Health network.

Key Responsibilities:

As a consulting liaison psychiatrist, you will deliver psychiatric services to patients with intricate mental health challenges during their medical treatment. Your role will involve close collaboration with the Mental Health & Addiction Service Line throughout the Allina Health organization.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or an equivalent foreign qualification from an accredited medical institution is required.
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency training program in Psychiatry or equivalent foreign training is mandatory.
  • Must possess a valid medical license from the MN Board of Medical Practice and achieve psychiatric board certification within two years of employment.
  • ACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource certification is required upon hire.
  • Possession of a Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate is necessary upon hire.
  • Enrollment in the Prescription Monitoring Program is required upon hire.
  • A National Provider Identifier must be obtained upon hire.
