Located in the vibrant Twin Cities area, Allina Health is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services. With a network of over 65 clinics and multiple hospitals, we are committed to fostering a thriving community for both our patients and staff.
Our Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line offers a full spectrum of care, including specialty outpatient clinics, inpatient services, and more. As a member of our outpatient geriatric mental health team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing multidisciplinary collaborations with specialists in primary care, neuropsychology, and neuroradiology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with healthcare providers to support the ongoing management of patients' behavioral health needs.
- Engage with patients and their families to create comprehensive treatment plans that align with their goals.
- Lead educational initiatives for staff regarding psychiatric issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree - Completion of an accredited psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in mental health and addiction or family practice, with a preference for candidates with 2+ years of experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification in specialty required upon hire.
- ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource certification required within 180 days.
- Drug Enforcement Administration registration required upon hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Medium Work: Ability to lift up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently, in accordance with Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy.
