Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychiatric services to individuals facing intricate mental health and addiction challenges.
  • Engage in a collaborative, evidence-based approach to enhance patients' mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across various care settings, including medical units and outpatient clinics.
  • Participate in weekday shifts with occasional weekend and holiday on-call duties.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to advanced practice providers as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Consult with healthcare providers to support the ongoing management of patients' substance use and behavioral health needs.
  • Create behaviorally focused, outcome-oriented treatment plans addressing mental health and co-occurring disorders.
  • Lead educational initiatives for staff regarding psychiatric topics.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent international medical training required
  • Board eligible/certified with ABMS or AOA
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Ability to secure and maintain DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Meet criteria for credentialing and hospital privileges as applicable
  • Completion of an addiction fellowship or ASAM certification is strongly preferred

Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs and frequent lifting of up to 10 lbs.
