Position Highlights:

As an Addiction Psychiatrist, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including specialty nurses and licensed counselors, to deliver exceptional outpatient care. Your role will encompass a variety of program components, including eConsults, therapeutic interventions, and educational initiatives. Our services extend to inpatient care and intensive outpatient programs, ensuring a holistic approach to addiction treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with healthcare providers to manage the behavioral health needs of patients.
  • Engage patients and families in developing tailored treatment plans.
  • Lead educational initiatives for staff on psychiatric topics.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical training required.
  • Board eligible/certified with ABMS or AOA.
  • Active medical license in MN or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to secure MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Meet credentialing criteria for hospital privileges.
  • Completion of an addiction fellowship or ASAM certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Medium Work: Lifting up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently, in accordance with safe patient handling policies.
