Position Overview
As we continue to expand, La2050 is seeking a Chief People Officer to join our executive leadership team. This role is pivotal in establishing the frameworks and processes necessary for sustainable growth while cultivating an inclusive environment that promotes both professional and personal development for all team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive vision for organizational operations that aligns with La2050's mission and strategic priorities.
  • Ensure that daily operations are conducted efficiently and effectively, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Lead the creation, implementation, and refinement of human resources policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect our commitment to equity and inclusivity.
  • Collaborate with leadership and department heads to assess staffing needs and implement strategies for attracting, recruiting, and retaining top talent.
  • Establish clear protocols for hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Administer equitable compensation policies, partnering with finance to ensure competitive pay and benefits.
  • Design and implement professional development programs that promote career advancement and continuous learning.
  • Facilitate an annual performance management process, ensuring regular feedback and goal-setting opportunities for all staff.
  • Act as a resource for staff at all levels, addressing employee relations issues and fostering a respectful workplace.
  • Supervise and mentor the Operations Manager, promoting high levels of job satisfaction and performance.
  • Leverage technology to enhance operational efficiency, utilizing tools for HR management and project oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and management policies, providing training for relevant staff.
  • Oversee daily business operations, including compliance with necessary regulations and permits.
  • Analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Engage in strategic planning and decision-making with the senior management team, prioritizing initiatives that align with our mission.
  • Participate in the budgeting process, promoting transparency and financial literacy among staff.
  • Coordinate in-person staff engagement activities, fostering a strong organizational culture.
  • Co-create processes that reflect the diverse needs of the organization, ensuring meaningful staff involvement in decision-making.
  • Lead by example, embodying the organizational values and ensuring they are integrated into daily practices.

Qualifications
We are looking for a passionate advocate for La2050's mission. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in operations or a related field, with a strong background in organizational development and human resources.
  • A human-centered approach that prioritizes employee well-being and growth.
  • The ability to think strategically while executing tactical plans effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on emotional intelligence and relationship-building.
  • A compassionate leadership style that empowers individuals and promotes accountability.
  • A proactive, resourceful, and adaptable mindset, with proficiency in HRIS and other relevant technologies.
