Your Role

The Chief Operations Officer will define the strategic vision and oversee various divisions and administrative departments, managing profit and loss (P&L) for projects ranging from $250M to $300M in Southern California. This position, based in Anaheim, reports directly to the Executive Vice President and requires a deep understanding of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic divisional objectives, policies, and performance standards in alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Create an annual business plan that outlines regional operational budgets to support the company's revenue and profitability goals.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of divisional financials to ensure positive financial performance and effective risk management.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all regional projects, fostering a collaborative environment with Division Managers and Project Executives to ensure operational success and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the Business Development Group's initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and achieve company objectives while offering expertise in operational strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry peers, representing Rosendin Electric both internally and externally.
  • Identify and implement innovative processes and technologies to enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Review and approve all P&L activities.
  • Present performance strategy updates and metrics to the Chief Executive Officer and executive leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President.

Qualifications for Success

  • Extensive knowledge of all facets of construction is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership experience in complex business environments.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities.
  • Experience managing a high-performance team of 100 or more direct and indirect reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and influence at all organizational levels.
  • A collaborative leadership style that is approachable and effective in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to drive change and lead initiatives despite initial resistance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Oracle is preferred.

What We Expect

A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including 10 years in a senior leadership role within a large-scale national construction or renewables organization.

Working Conditions

This role is primarily office-based, requiring long periods of sitting, standing, and walking. The work environment may vary, including fluorescent lighting and air conditioning, with occasional exposure to noise levels that can be loud on job sites.

Salary Range: $204,100 - $306,200
