Position Overview:
The IT Support Specialist will exhibit a proactive approach, demonstrating hands-on expertise and a strong focus on customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install desktop and server equipment for corporate operations.
- Provide assistance to desktop users across various departments.
- Conduct routine maintenance of software and hardware systems.
- Support video production and On-Air video/graphics computer systems.
- Ensure adherence to CBS core values and best practices in system management.

Core Duties Include:
- Act as the primary contact for issues related to desktop hardware, software, printers, and Active Directory.
- Collaborate with users to resolve technical challenges.
- Manage network resources across departments.
- Monitor the health and performance of critical computer systems.
- Maintain software patches and updates as per corporate standards.
- Document computer systems and create standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Liaise with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Provide basic software training to users.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support broadcast initiatives.

IT Responsibilities:
- User account management, device refreshes, profile setups, application installations, and patch deployments.
- Administer network printer support, server backups, and compliance documentation.
- Configure and support IT connectivity to broadcast equipment.
- Utilize virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi and vSphere for data center operations.
- Support Active Directory services and Linux environments.

Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in desktop and laptop hardware, with experience in Windows Client OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Physical capability to lift and carry 30-50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in Microsoft Server and Client technologies.
- Experience with LAN administration and Active Directory/Azure.
- Familiarity with VMware and Hyperconverged Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Cisco networking environments and broadcast television equipment maintenance.
