The IT Support Specialist will be proactive, practical, and focused on delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for desktop hardware, software, printers, and Active Directory inquiries.
- Collaborate with users to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Manage network resources across various departments.
- Monitor the performance and health of critical IT systems.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards by maintaining software patches and updates.
- Keep detailed documentation of computer systems and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Liaise with vendors to address and resolve technical challenges.
- Provide basic software training to users.
- Execute additional tasks assigned by management to support broadcast operations.
IT Responsibilities:
- Handle user account creation, device refreshes, profile setups, application installations, software updates, patch deployments, and asset tracking.
Administrative Duties:
- Support network printers, conduct daily server backups, document and monitor issues, and maintain compliance with corporate documentation.
- Configure, deploy, and support IT connectivity for broadcast equipment throughout the organization.
Technical Skills Required:
- Proficient in virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and vSphere.
- Support Active Directory services and Linux environments.
- Experience in Windows Server administration and troubleshooting, including Windows Server 2012 and later versions.
- Knowledge of hardware support, including RAID failures.
- Familiarity with building virtual environments using VMware and managing vSAN.
- Understanding of RedHat Enterprise Linux and cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
- Advanced skills in various Windows Server applications and services, including Remote Desktop Services, DNS, and DHCP.
- Proficient in using deployment tools and patch management systems.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware.
- Experience with Windows Client OS and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry weights of 30-50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Microsoft Server and Client technologies.
- Experience with LAN administration and Active Directory/Azure and AWS.
- Familiarity with VMware and Hyperconverged Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Cisco networking environments and experience with broadcast equipment is a plus.
