Position Summary:
The IT Support Specialist is accountable for delivering comprehensive technical assistance (both hardware and software) to the user base. This role involves maintaining business applications, diagnosing system issues, fostering effective system utilization, and ensuring timely incident resolution in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provide support and maintenance for IT business applications utilized by staff
- Diagnose and escalate system issues as necessary
- Encourage optimal use of business systems
- Identify potential risks and implement innovative solutions
- Uphold standards and operational procedures
- Manage incidents and service requests in compliance with SLAs
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems
- Oversee asset inventory management
- Conduct software installations, updates, and removals
- Facilitate user onboarding and offboarding processes
- Stay informed about advancements in technology
- Advise on hardware and software standardization
- Execute system backups and recovery procedures
- Assess hardware for potential replacement
- Coordinate data migration to new devices
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
- 4-5 years of experience in IT support roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Familiarity with current technologies and operating systems
- Certifications from Microsoft or Cisco are advantageous
