Attractive sign-on bonuses available for new hires. The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor at StandardAero is tasked with diagnosing aircraft issues and executing corrective measures. This role holds the ultimate accountability for the standard of maintenance work and turnaround times, playing a crucial role in maintaining a professional image for our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize analytical reasoning for technical challenges. Manage various tasks to ensure maintenance is completed by the agreed delivery timeline. Oversees a team of technicians and/or workshop staff in the upkeep of specific aircraft types, ensuring successful maintenance, adherence to deadlines, and customer satisfaction.

Effective allocation of manpower and monitoring of hours billed to projects are vital responsibilities of this position.

Collaborates with management in planning arrivals/departures, outlining job scopes, and updating customers on work progress.

Guarantees that safe working practices are consistently applied to each aircraft task or throughout the workshop.
Essential Duties: Supervises a team of technicians in aircraft maintenance activities. Evaluates, recommends salary adjustments, and recognizes or disciplines team members. Ensures technicians are accountable for the quality of their maintenance tasks. Assigns duties to team members based on scheduled deadlines and the technical skills of various employees. Provides technical support to technicians regarding aircraft maintenance configurations, service bulletins, directives, and enhancements. Must remain informed about the scope of required maintenance for clients and coordinates efforts to ensure timely service.

In conjunction with management, pre-plans work scopes for aircraft, including manpower deployment, parts procurement, initiating work orders, and customer briefings.

Documents any additional items and discrepancies noted during inspections. Monitors hours billed to projects to ensure cost control and deadline adherence.

Communicates with the department manager or customer project manager regarding issues and work status to ensure timely and complete communication with clients.

Reviews documentation for sign-offs and parts issues post-departure, prior to closing in the inspection department. May conduct a final inspection to ensure aircraft cleanliness and readiness for departure.


Ensures that team members receive adequate training on assigned aircraft and are scheduled for regular technical training, either in-house or at designated external locations.

Collaborates with other Aircraft Maintenance Supervisors or departments to facilitate cross-training on various aircraft. Engages in 'hands-on' maintenance as necessary to ensure timely departures and customer satisfaction. Coordinates with other departments as required to guarantee a positive experience for clients at the facility. Actively seeks to streamline processes for efficiency, quality, and turnaround time. Upholds and adheres to safety, environmental, and general housekeeping protocols.

Proactively promotes safety; encourages safe work habits among the team, monitors the work environment for hazards, and takes necessary actions to mitigate risks.

Performs additional duties as assigned by the department.
Position Requirements:

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. A&P Certificate. A minimum of seven years of experience as an A&P Mechanic in corporate aviation with Embraer aircraft.

Eligibility Criteria:
Experience in leading or supervising a team. Proven technical proficiency on airframes in heavy maintenance, light maintenance, and service bulletins. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Plan, organize, and coordinate multiple tasks to achieve quality maintenance within set timeframes. Must possess effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients and team members. Demonstrated capability to engage with clients and address their concerns directly. Proven ability to achieve desired outcomes using a collaborative approach. Capable of setting clear expectations, monitoring progress, providing feedback, and holding team members accountable. Demonstrated problem-solving skills utilizing technical data, prior experience, and input from team members. Proven ability to treat colleagues with respect and professionalism. Capable of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients, earning their trust and respect.

Demonstrated ability to deliver results amidst a heavy workload, competing priorities, and a fast-paced environment.

Proven ability to foster a positive team atmosphere; encourages open communication; creates a sense of belonging within the team. Open to new ideas and continuously seeks opportunities to enhance work processes and procedures.

Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret maintenance manuals.

Creates an environment where team members are motivated to perform at their best; empowers others; can inspire diverse groups of individuals. Willingness to work outside of regular hours, including weekends and overtime.

Ability to walk extensively. Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours. Ability to think clearly and communicate effectively both on the phone and in person. Ability to handle equipment of various sizes, tools, computer keyboards, and telephones. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
