Job Summary

StandardAero is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Embraer Crew Chief team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of maintenance work and turn time, projecting a competent image to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Use deductive reasoning to troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective action.
  • Project Management: Coordinate multiple activities to accomplish maintenance tasks by the promised delivery date.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise a crew of technicians and/or shop personnel in the maintenance of a specific group of aircraft types.
  • Resource Allocation: Deploy manpower and control hours charged to the job.
  • Communication: Provide coordination with the manager in scheduling arrivals/departures, preplanning job scopes, and communicating with the customer on the status of work.
  • Safety: Ensure safe work practices are employed consistently on each aircraft job or throughout the shop.
Essential Duties:
  • Supervision: Supervise a crew of technicians in the performance of aircraft maintenance.
  • Performance Management: Appraise, recommend salary and other status changes, rewards, recognizes, and disciplines members of the crew.
  • Work Assignment: Assign work to crew members based upon scheduled outdates and the technical expertise of the various employees.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to technicians on aircraft maintenance configurations, service bulletins, directives, and enhancements.
  • Cost Control: Monitor hours charged to a job to assure that costs are controlled and outdates met.
  • Time Card Review: Review employee time cards on a daily basis to verify accuracy of time charged to work orders.
Requirements:
  • Certification: A&P Certificate.
  • Experience: A minimum of seven years experience as an A&P Mechanic in corporate aviation working with Embraer.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading or supervising a crew.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated technical ability on airframes in the areas of heavy maintenance, light maintenance, and service bulletins.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve technical problems.
  • Planning and Coordination: Plan, organize, and coordinate multiple activities to achieve quality maintenance within established timeframes.
