Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily building repairs, preventative maintenance tasks, and routine inspections assigned through our digital work order system.
  • Work closely with supervisors to procure supplies, maintain tools and equipment, manage inventory, and keep comprehensive records.
  • Address work orders based on urgency, communicate any delays to tenants and supervisors, document notes in the work order system, and follow up with tenants for feedback as necessary.
  • Maintain the building's lighting systems by replacing bulbs and ballasts as needed.
  • Oversee and manage the energy management system to ensure optimal operation of the property.
  • Supervise building heating, cooling, fire alarm, and plumbing systems, reporting any issues or malfunctions and performing preventive maintenance as required.
  • Attend to the grounds through tasks such as sweeping, leaf removal, and snow clearing.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Inspect and oversee work performed by external contractors for landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, and more.
  • Comply with safety standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with all stakeholders.
  • Carry out other assigned duties and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience or technical training.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to interpret design documents, manufacturer specifications, and operational procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and positive relationships.
  • Capability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work safely.
  • Basic mathematical skills and aptitude.
  • Availability for on-call rotation and emergency response.
  • Physically able to perform extensive walking, climbing, lifting, and carrying heavy items.
  • Willingness to work overtime for special projects.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer skills and eagerness to learn new software.
  • Familiarity with tools and their proper usage.

The hourly wage for this position begins at $22 and is determined by experience and location.
