Key Responsibilities
  • Remove and reinstall engines from turbofan and turboprop aircraft.
  • Utilize sound judgment and technical skills to make maintenance decisions, troubleshoot issues, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct operational checks and engine runs to verify airworthiness before flight.
  • Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals.
  • Assess removed components for serviceability and document any discrepancies. Reinstall and test components post-inspection.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all airframe systems as necessary (including hydraulics and landing gear).
  • May perform fuel tank sealing on aircraft.
  • Document all completed work clearly and accurately.
  • Execute Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as needed.
  • Interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams as required.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures while promoting continuous improvement.
  • Analyze mechanical problems to determine causes and effective repair methods.
  • Test operations and make repairs/adjustments as necessary for engines, engine controls, propellers, landing gear, hydraulic systems, and flight controls.
  • Inspect and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems.
  • Utilize hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges, and calibration test equipment.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping protocols.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned by the department.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of experience in corporate aviation, specifically with Embraer Legacy aircraft.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Proven mechanical and technical skills are essential.
  • A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is mandatory.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Experience with a variety of hand and power tools is necessary.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision is expected.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Availability for second shift work, including overtime and weekends, is necessary.
  • Capability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and inclement weather is required.
  • Ability to think clearly and communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
  • Physical ability to manipulate equipment, tools, and computer keyboards.
  • Capacity to work in confined spaces and stand on hard surfaces for extended periods.
  • Visual acuity for disassembly and inspection tasks.
  • Able to hear and identify sources of mechanical issues.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination is essential.
  • Demonstrated initiative in completing job assignments and following directions is required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, stretching, and climbing ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aviation training is preferred, which may include military training, aeronautical academy, or technical school training, or an Aviation Associate's Degree.
  • Factory-authorized training on assigned aircraft or engines is advantageous.
