About the Role

Elevance Health is seeking a highly skilled Director of Portfolio Execution to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of strategic initiatives and ensuring that deliverables are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and track project progress to ensure timely completion and delivery of results.
  • Provide expert guidance and strategic direction to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting to ensure accurate financial planning and management.
  • Lead external advocacy efforts to promote company interests and build strategic relationships.
  • Develop and refine consolidated roadmaps of initiatives to drive business growth and success.
  • Manage requirements, strategic projects, reports, analysis, and deadlines to ensure seamless execution.
  • Oversee steering and advisory committees to create executive documents and drive decision-making.
  • Develop internal and external communication strategies to engage stakeholders and promote company initiatives.
  • Lead and manage direct reports, providing coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations to ensure team success.
  • Travel to worksites and other locations as necessary to support business needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
  • PMP certification and PMO experience highly preferred.
  • Experience leading a team of project managers and health insurance industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate end-to-end execution activities across IT and business/operational partners.
  • Polished communication skills, with ability to create internal executive reporting and client-facing content.
  • Ability to challenge technology, processes, and operating models that do not align with end-to-end coordination.
  • Direct proactive leadership skills, with ability to pivot strategically and tactically as needed.
