Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for IRC's operations in Virginia, aligning with the organization's overall mission and goals.
  • Program Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs in Virginia, ensuring they are of high quality, evidence-based, and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality programs.
  • Financial Management: Manage the financial resources of IRC's Virginia office, ensuring effective budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Advocacy and Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local government officials, community leaders, and partners, to advance IRC's mission and interests in Virginia.
  • Resource Development: Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support IRC's programs in Virginia, ensuring a sustainable and diversified funding base.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible work experience in social services or humanitarian assistance programs, with a strong preference for previous experience in direct services delivery to clients in cross-cultural environments.
  • Skills: Demonstrated staff management, program development, monitoring, evaluation, and advocacy experience; authentic leadership; successful fundraising and grant writing experience; financial management experience; proven people management skills; keen diplomatic and interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully in a cross-cultural environment.
